FAQ

How should snowboard boots fit — snug or roomy?

Snug, not roomy. Your toes should just brush the end of the liner when standing straight, then pull back off the front when you flex your knees forward. A boot that's too big will cost you control; if in doubt, size down rather than up. All our liners are heat-moldable for customized fit.

What's the difference between Lashed, TM2, Focus BOA®, and STW DB?

Lashed is thirtytwo's original, iconic lace boot, the boot that built the brand, available across several tiers. TM-2 is the most versatile boot in the line, team-approved by riders like Chris Grenier (XLT Grenier) and Scott Stevens (TM-2 Stevens, including a signature camo colorway). It runs a mid-stiff flex with Double BOA® or lace closure options for a responsive fit across park, resort, and everything between. STW DB is the entry-level double-BOA® option, an accessible way into a dialled-in fit without a full lace system.

What lacing system should I pick? Traditional Lace, BOA® or Hybrid?

Traditional lace gives you the most control over fit. You can micro-adjust tension zone by zone, but it takes longer to lace up. BOA® gets you locked down in seconds with even, consistent pressure, ideal if you want speed and simplicity. Hybrid systems split the difference: quick heel lock-down with more adjustability higher up the boot.

What flex is right for my skill level and riding style?

Softer flex boots are easier to break in, more forgiving on landings, and better suited to jibbing, pressing, and riders still building technique. Stiffer flex delivers more response and support for driving a board hard at speed or through variable snow, better suited to advanced freeride and all-mountain riding. Most riders land in a medium flex that works across park, resort, and everything in between.

Are these boots FASE®-compatible, and how do they pair with my bindings?

Yes. FASE®-optimised boots and FASE® bindings are designed to work together as a system, engineered to lock in with the best possible fit and the fastest, most precise entry. They'll still work fine with standard strap bindings, but pairing FASE® boots with FASE® bindings gets you the most dialled-in connection.

Do I need to break these in, and how long does that take?

A little break-in is normal. Most riders find thirtytwo boots feel dialled in within a few days on snow as the liner packs out to your foot shape. Wearing them around the house or on short walks before your first day speeds that up. You can also get them heat molded in your local shop or consult a specialized boot fitter.

How should I take care of my boots?

Make sure you always dry them properly after riding. You can take out the liner to air it separately, or simply use a boot dryer to speed up drying. Tighten the laces or BOA® back up after use so the boot keeps its shape. Never leave them next to a heat source for too long.
